Training Location

Three weeks ago, I posted in the Bald Runner’s blog that the coaches and elite runners of the Team Bald Runner will be offering free speed training to runners who had been training for at least a year. What was supposed to be a Speed Training for advanced runners, it ultimately became as Running Clinic for Beginners in running as we accepted beginners to our training. After two weeks of training, 14-16 runners (advanced and beginners) are presently undertaking such running sessions.

The Running Clinic/Speed Training’s location is at the ULTRA Oval Track in Pasig City. Training starts at 5:30PM every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and ends usually at 8:30PM or until the oval track is still lighted. We have observed that if the training starts on time, we could end the training earlier than 8:30PM.

Why at the ULTRA Oval Track? Captain Ferdie Espejo, Jr, Team Bald Runner Coach, will conduct a “diagnostic test” to each one of the runners to determine his/her present capability and level of competency in running and it is only running in an oval track where precise distance in relation to your finish time is measured. The result of the “diagnostic test” will be the basis for your “personalized” training program based from your specific distance goal to finish.

As one’s running proficiency progresses, the team will run in other locations to simulate road races and other running events.
