Team BR @ BOTAK Runs & LEVI’s 5K

The Elite Team Bald Runner joined two road races yesterday, Sunday, 23 August 2009. The following were the results where the members were able to get “podium” finish places:

BOTAK Paa-bilisan 10-Mile/5-Mile/1-Mile Street Runs @ UP Diliman Campus

10-MILE Run:

Rene Desuyo—1st Runner-Up (2nd Place) Overall in the 10-Mile Run with a time of 54:26 minutes.

Frankreader Indapan—2nd Runner-Up (3rd Place) Overall in the 10-Mile Run with a time of 54:30 minutes

Milbert Nabuab—2nd Place in the Age Category (18-25 yrs old) & 6th Place Overall in the 10-Mile Run with a time of 1:00:46 hours

Christian Dalida—3rd Place in the Age Category (18-25 yrs old) in the 10-Mile Run with a time of 1:07:00 hours

Anna Vargas—2nd Place in the Age Category for Women’s (26-39 yrs old) in the 10-Mile Run

5-MILE Run:

Marecil Maquilan—Champion, Women’s Overall Category in the 5-Mile Run with a time of 32:15 minutes

Raul Lamprea—Champion, Men’s Age Category of 26-39 yrs old in the 5-Mile Run with a time of 25:40 minutes

Gerald Sabal—2nd Runner-Up (3rd Place Overall) in the 5-Mile Run with a time of 27:11 minutes.

Rey Antoque—1st Runner-Up (2nd Overall) in the Age Category of 40 yrs old & above with a time of 31:40 minutes.

1-MILE Street Run:

Alquin Bolivar—1st Runner-Up (2nd Overall) in the 1-MILE Street Run with a time of 3:56 minutes.

Rey Antoque—6th Overall Place in the Age Category of 40 yrs old & above with a time of 5:05 minutes

Move Up For Good Governance 10K Run @ UP Diliman/ August 9, 2009

Alquin Bolivar won as Champion in the 10K Race in the Move Up For Good Governance by Hataw Pilipinas at the UP Diliman Campus with a time of 32:00 minutes. He received a Cash prize of P 3,000, Trophy, and Bottle of Wine.

Marecil Maquilan won as 1st Runner-Up in the 10K Race in the same event with a time of 41:00 minutes. She received a Cash Prize of P 2,000 and Bottle of Wine.

Runs For “Good Governance” & “Family”

Team Bald Runner @ Run For Good Government & Run For Family (1 & 2 August 2009)

Milbert Nabuab—Won Third Place in the Run For Good Governance 5K Race at the Ateneo de Manila University Campus in the morning of Saturday,  August 1, 2009.

Alquin Bolivar—Won 1st Place in the Men’s and Overall Category in the Run For Family 10K at the Roxas Boulevard which started and finished at Rajah Sulayman Park in the afternoon of Sunday, August 2, 2009. He won the Championship Trophy and a Cash Prize of P 5,000.

Marecil Maquilan—Won 2nd Place in the Women’s Overall in the Run For Family at the Roxas Boulevard. She won the 1st Runner-Up Trophy and a Cash Prize of P 3,000.

Elite Team BR @ Globe’s Run For Home & M.O.V.E Run Manila

The following were the standings of the Elite Team Bald Runner last July 19, 2009 road races that were held in Metro Manila:

Elmer Sabal—2nd Runner-Up, Men’s Overall, 21K with a time of 1:13+ hours

Marecil Maquilan—1st Runner-Up, Women’s Overall, 21K Run with a time of 1:28+ hours

Alquin Bolivar—Champion, Men’s Overall, 10K Run with a time of 32:28 minutes

Gerald Sabal—2nd Runner-Up, Men’s Overall, 10K Run with a time of 34:00 minutes

Frankreadear Indapan—2nd Runner-Up, Men’s Overall, 5K with a time of 16:15 minutes

Anna Vargas—Champion, Women’s Overall, 10K MOVE Manila Run @ UP Diliman

Reynaldo De Los Reyes—2nd Runner-Up, 10K MOVE Manila Run @ UP Diliman

The Elite Team Bald Runner members who won in the MOVE Manila Run which was held at UP Diliman were able to receive their cash prizes, medals and gifts during the awarding ceremony after the race.

The winners in the GLOBE’s Run For Home were able to receive their cash prizes on Tuesday, two days after the race at their Corporate Office in Mandaluyong City.

Run For M.E. 5K Team Run

6:30 AM 26 July 2009 @ Ateneo De Manila University Campus

Mr Amado Castro, Jr, President of Reinier Pacific, sponsored the participation of the Elite Team Bald Runner by paying for the registration fees for the Team 5K Run for this race. In addition, he also have the whole Team’s running uniform made for the said race. The Elite Team Bald Runner fielded two (2) teams for the said race. Each team can field a maximum of 12 runners, however,

As a background, Mr Castro had been very supportive to the Elite Team Bald Runner for the past year as he is also a passionate racewalker and runner. His generosity had been a big boost to the training and exposure to weekly road race competitions of the team.

As a result of the race, Elite Team Bald Runner (Reinier) won the 1st Runner-Up for the 5K Team Run and the other Elite Team Bald Runner (Pacific) placed 4th Overall. In the 10K race, Alquin Bolivar placed 4th Overall and Marecil Maquilan placed 1st Runner-Up in the Overall Women’s Category.

Team Bald Runner Prevails

After I officially formed and organized the Elite Team Bald Runner for the past one year, the members are still trying their best to improve their training and performance towards the quest for excellence in long distance running.

In today’s road races, the following are the results:

A) 2nd Tic-Takbo at UP Campus:

Elmer Sabal—Champion Overall & Men’s Category in the 18K Distance at 56:48 minutes. Received P 4,000 Cash & Medal

Marecil Maquilan—Champion Overall Ladies Category in the 18K Distance at 1:11:25 hours. Received P 4,000 Cash & Medal

Rey De Los Reyes—3rd Runner-Up Overall & Men’s Category in the 18K Distance at 1:05:08 hours.

Alquin Bolivar—1st Runner-Up, Overall and Men’s Category in the 6K Distance at 17:45 minutes. Received P 2,000 Cash & Medal

Gerald Sabal—2nd Runner-Up, Overall and Men’s Category in the 6K Distance at 18:05 minutes. Received P 1,500 Cash & Medal

B) MILO Half-Marathon Elimination Race in Tarlac City

Anna Vargas—Champion, Overall Ladies Category at 1:28:00 hours. Received P 10,000 Cash Prize and Trophy. She is qualified for the MILO Finals.

Team BR Won 33rd MILO 42K Elims

The following members of the Elite Team Bald Runner won in the top rankings of last Sunday’s 33rd MILO 42K Elimination Race which started and ended at Luneta Park, Manila:

4:30 AM July 5, 2009 @ Luneta Grandstand, Manila

Rene Desuyo—Overall Champion in the Men’s Category for the 42K Race with a time of 2:33:38 hours. He won a cash prize of P 30,000 and Championship Trophy.

Alley Quisay—2nd Runner-Up in the Men’s Category for the 42K Race with a time of 2:37:00 hours. He won a cash prize of P 10,000 and 3rd Place Trophy.
