Team Bald Runner was created last June 2008 as a “pool” of elite or advanced competitive runners in the Philippines under the supervision and training of one (1) IAAF Level 4 Coach and one (1) Assistant Coach who had been a past Champion in Marathon Races here in the country and abroad. The aim of this group of elite runners is to be able to “train as a group” and be able to qualify as members of the Philippine Team (National Pool) in Athletics, most especially in the middle, long distance races, race walking, and ultimately, for the ultramarathon.
As of this date, the Elite Team Bald Runner consists of two (2) Coaches and fourteen (14) elite runners with ages ranging from 18-37 years old. This team will slowly increase in number as we discover and train more athletes from the age of 12 years old.
This is our contribution to our nation’s solution to our problem in sports excellence and ultimately, be able to attain our first Gold Medal in the Olympic Games, through Athletics. This is a dream but we are taking those small steps and actions, one at a time, towards such direction rather than not doing something about the problem.
This will be a long journey but with everybody getting involved in this advocacy, I know we can reach that goal. Team Bald Runner is the first step towards such destination.
Come and join us and let us take that journey together.

In addition, our association has invited several groups on the said event, like CCA, UP Diliman zero-waste task force, Haribon, Greenpeace and WWF to put up booths showcasing recycled products done at their ecological centers and other projects to share how their establishments are helping in environmental preservation.
